Oat Pecan Burger Recipe

OAT PECAN BURGERS:

4 CUPS WATER
1/2 CUP SOY SAUCE ( I PREFER SAN-J ORGANIC-RECUDCED SODIUM)
1/3 CUP OIL ( I USE GRAPESEED OIL)
1 CUP CHOPPED PECANS OR WALNUTS
2 TSP. GARLIC POWDER
1 TBLS. BASIL
2 TSP. ONION POWDER
1 TSP. LEMON PEPPER OR BAKON SEASONING (WE PREFER THE LEMON PEPPER)
1 TSP. CORRIANDER POWDER
1 TSP. SAGE

HEAT TO A BOIL AND THEN ADD 4 CUPS OF UNCOOKED QUICK OATS. WE PREFER MCCANS
IRISH QUICK COOKING OATMEAL. AFTER ADDING THE OATS, STIR AND TURN OFF THE
HEAT BUT LEAVE THE LID ON. LET SIT UNTIL COOL.
FORM INTO PATTIES AND BAKE AT 30 FOR APROX. 20 MINUTES FLIP OVER ONE TIME
ABOUT HALF WAY THROUGH COOKING TIME.
THESE ARE GOOD PLAIN, SERVED ON SPELT BREAD AS A BURGER, OR WITH RICE AND
SOY SAUCE OR GRAVY. ENJOY! THEY ARE SO TASTY AND CONVEINENT.
